With the release of Mountain Lion today, Apple has updated the iWork suite to 9.2. Major features are support for the Retina display and a new Dicatation feature.
Apple also added iCloud integration, which requires iWork 1.6.1 for iOS if you wish to keep docs in sync between devices. The new dictation feature allows users to “Speak words, numbers, or sentences, and watch them appear in your presentation, document, or spreadsheet.”
Overall, this update is most useful to users of the new 15″ Retina MacBook Pro, but it’s also a sign that they haven’t abandoned the suite. Hopefully we’ll see a brand new release later this year, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
